today I'm sharing a narrative a wrote about a combination of my imagination and a short film called ruin by Wes ball. hope you like it
Survival Narrative

Once upon a time, it was a normal day in the beautiful sunny city of Los. Angeles where people were shopping, sunbathing on the beach, and having fun. But not so much of a normal day in the lab as it was soon to be the worst. One of the workers went down to the pitch dark basement of the lab In hopes to fix a gas leak coming from the animal department where they would try and bring back extinct animals with frozen cells. As he was fixing the leak he decided to step on a certain pipe that leads one type of gas to another in order to create a reaction, and this reaction was safe as long as it was just these two gases combining, but as you’ve guessed it yes the, something went wrong when he stepped on the pipe and the gas from the animal department found its way into a gas pipe that was only safe if the gases mixed with each other.
Boom!!!! went the lab, killing everyone inside of it…. walking out of the steaming, black smoke was *dramatic pause* a terrifying, hairy, 10ft tall, monster of a creature that’s kind has never stepped foot on earth. One by one coming out of the dark smoke, let it be known these creatures were strong to last coming out of that smoke because the smoke was as dark as the night sky.
As for people running away and the city becoming a ghost town, not many people knew about this explosion because the lab was up on a cliff just looking over the city of LA, although not many people could see it the explosion was louder than you can imagine, most people died from the sound and others managed to get away but few were to survive and stay at the soon to be a ghost town or if you would like to call it a ghost city.
The few people that survived were three men whose family was not with them because they were all at work and none of them had anyone to transport them out of town because they had fallen into a deep sleep almost as they had fainted from the sound. Their names were Mark, John, and Mike. When they had woke up they were super freaked out (since you know there were bodies everywhere).
Although they were terrified they were also determined to survive.
The men stood up and ran to the first truck they could see. The reason why they had run was that they knew that something was off about all this. They then drove around the city looking for people that were still alive but had no luck. Later that day whilst collecting food and other essentials they saw the weirdest creature they had ever seen, in fact, it wasn’t close to anything they’ve ever seen, it was the lab creature (as you may have guessed)they drove faster than any of them have ever driven even though they were all race car drivers. Ten minutes later they had managed to get away without being noticed. They wanted to get as far away from those creatures as possible so they were going through cars just like that not realizing they should’ve been saving the gas as they had just gotten out of hollywood boulevard.
Once they had gotten to the other side of town they set up camp in a supermarket. There was one thing they were unsure of was how long it would take these creatures to make their way to the other side of town, let's just say that it was gonna be in the next day. They fell asleep one by one and before they knew it it was morning the day they thought they were gonna die (SPOILER ALERT!!!!! They were only half right).One of the men went out to collect some gas for a car. An hour passed by, he hadn’t come back another hour, hour by hour. 8 hours have gone now, they then said he had died. It was only them fighting for each other as they had nothing to fend with.
They started walking, and all they had to eat was rotting apples. Then boom there first face-to-face encounter of “the monster”. They started running for their lives in different directions so it was definite that at least one person was gonna die and one was gonna live if that. They were running and running as “the monster” was only getting closer every millisecond. And boom john was caught and eaten by “the monster” in one bite. The other man saw everything only for it to motivate him to survive. He saw a car, jumped into it, and drove faster than lightning. It was “the monster” against the car running on fumes. Then at the last second when he had no hope to live anymore BOOM!! Went a shotgun BOOM!! Again and again. “Was someone shooting all of these monsters?” John asked.then whipping around the corner in a massive truck was the man who went missing. “Mike!!!!!” shouted john. In the nick of time, John jumped into the truck. They drove far far away to get help and thankfully they got it and since the population of “the monsters” were only small they died out in a few weeks.
